Our House Streams are one church, one teaching, many homes—gathering for the Word, church family and prayer under clear pastoral oversight.
As the Stream comes off the River, our small group House Streams are midweek gatherings of our church congregation in the home for the purpose of studying the Bible together with prayer and fellowship.
NOTE: The Herston House Stream is a men's only group.

01 What is a House Stream?
House Streams are our small group Bible studies for River Church congregation where you can connect through fellowship, prayer and solid teaching of the Word.
02 What kind of Bible study will it be?
Each group will follow an expository Bible study prepared and taught by Pastor Dylan Oakley. This means we will study Scripture carefully, understand what it means and discuss how we can apply it to our everyday lives.
03 What happens during a House Stream?
• Welcome and fellowship
• Prayer and worship
• Approximately 30 minutes of Bible teaching
• Guided discussion questions
• Light refreshments and fellowship
04 Who leads the House Stream?
Bible teaching across all House Streams is prepared and taught by Pastor Dylan Oakley. Each group also has its own approved group leader and host who guides the discussion, prayer and gathering.
05 Do I need to know a lot about the Bible?
Not at all. House Streams are for people at different stages of their faith journey. You are welcome to listen, learn, ask questions and grow alongside others.
06 What should I bring?
Please bring your Bible, a notebook and pen. If you're attending in person, you're welcome to bring a plate to share over tea and coffee. If you're joining an online group, feel free to have a drink or snack with you at home.
07 Can I bring my children?
At this stage, House Streams are for adults only and children cannot be accommodated. Thank you for your understanding.
08 Can I bring a friend?
Yes, but please ask your friend to register first or contact the group leader before bringing them. This helps us manage group capacity and ensures the host knows who will be attending.
09 Will there be prayer or ministry?
House Streams are a Bible study, not a ministry session. However there will be time for prayer and all group leaders are trained to support you should you need it.
10 How do I join?
Select Request to Join and complete the required details. Submitting a request does not automatically confirm placement. The House Streams team or group leader will contact you once your request has been reviewed.
